Better Photos!

| 7th May 2015

Photographs are a great souvenir from our holidays. We usually take many pictures but only a few turn out all right. These few tips will help you make your photos frame-quality.

1. Take many pictures of the same scene to make sure you have options.

2. Prepare your setting, make sure your subject will be in the right lighting and focus your camera, prepare the props.

3. Best pictures are taken when light meets darkness, shoot from the dark toward the light.

4. Use flash during the day - if the sun is strong it will create shadows on faces, flash should even it out.

5. Less posing, more improvising! Tell a joke to your subjects to make them smile naturally or catch them off-guard.

6. You don’t need expensive equipment to take great photos. Your smartphone is more than enough to create something fantastic.

7. If you’d like a picture of yourself but there’s nobody to take it, try a selfie stick. Leaving a camera on a timed shot or asking strangers to take a picture of you might result in your camera disappearing!

8. Know how your camera works, which settings to choose (do some studying!).

9. Don’t blend the subject with the background, make the subject focal and the background accentuating the subject.

10. A watermark with your signature in the corner of the photo will make it look better and more professional.

11. Make sure your camera is charged or has enough batteries - you don’t want to miss a perfect moment!

Most of all, photography is a great way to preserve memories, express yourself and have fun!
