Prague
Prague is a beautiful city full of fairy-tale architecture in the Old Town and rich cultural heritage which makes it a popular destination for tourists. Since church has never played a big role in the country, the Czechs are very open-minded and tolerant. Prague does not have a gay village and the gay scene is not very big compared to other European cities but new venues open every year! Vinohrady is where most gay bars and clubs are (which is over 40).
Mezipatra is Prague's LGBT film festival every November. Prague's Gay Pride is in August.
For some nature, visit Petřín Hill or Strahov monastery where you can get to with the fenicular and on foot. Letná Park is just next to the castle and it’s often visited because of the beer spots, picnic lawns or to admire people at the skate park. Another popular hangout is around the giant metronome where Stalin’s statue used to be. You should also go to the Náplavka Farmer’s Market open every Saturday below the Vyšehrad Castle by the river where you can purchase high quality seasonal goods like fruit and vegetables, bread, mushrooms, various types of cheese and home-raised hens’ eggs.
When you’re in Prague, you should see one of their famous puppet shows. Divadlo Minor is a modern and atmospheric theatre and the largest in Prague. It has shows for all ages but only some of them are subtitled.
