Paris, the city of love, is certainly living up to its reputation. One of the most romantic cities on the planet, Paris amazes everyone who comes to visit. You might hear people saying “Gay Paree” and you can expect exactly that! Paris is a great place for LGBTQ travellers as it is open and indulgent.
Le Marais is known as the gay village of Paris. Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie and rue des Archives are the two streets where most gay bars, cafes and shops are, as well as plenty of gay-friendly restaurants, most of them quite close to each other. Le Marais is also known for concentrating most art galleries, fashionable, trendy restaurants, fashion houses, hype galleries, etc. Adorable narrow streets centuries old history.
It might be tricky to flirt with gay Parisians because If you show your interest to somebody in a direct way, you could easily be seen as too needy, too easy or too cheap. Guys in Paris tend to stick in groups so exploring Paris should be more enjoyable with a friend or two. Avoid Paris in August as Parisians tend to go on vacation during that period and close their businesses.
The annual gay highlight in the French capital is the Paris Gay Pride end of June, called Marche des Fiertés LGBT in France, Paris Fetish weekend in late May.
