Sitges
Sitges, a small city 40 minutes away by train from Barcelona, is widely known as a gay beach town with many gay bars and clubs, museums and wonderful beaches. If you decide to go on holidays in Sitges, you'll have a great time and you won't become totally bankrupt.
There 25 beaches in total two of which are gay beaches called La Platja de la Bossa Rodona (beach #6) and Playa del Muerto and (beach #10) Balmins which is a mixed clothing optional beach.
The city maintained its charm despite masses of tourists visiting every year. There are many museums and historic sites but Sitges is the most desirable destination for the beach town experience. There are plenty of expats living in the town so you'll meet foreigners from time to time. The climate is pleasing all year round with winter season from October to January, low season from February to May and high season from June until September.
The annual events are the Carnival in February/March, Gay Pride in June/July, Festa Major in August.
