Pattaya

Pattaya is the second most visited city in Thailand after Bangkok known for its nightlife and sex industry. This seaside resort has plenty of go-go bars and clubs but it is also promoting its family-oriented attractions like various restaurants, resorts and activities.

You should go see the Nong Nooch Botanical Garden with its stunning nature and daily Thai dance performances and to top it off the popular Elephant Show. Another attraction is the Floating Market located on built islands on stilts full of shops and cafes. This might be a more touristy experience but definitely worth checking out since you'll find plenty of authentic Thai merchandise, food and performances of Thai dance and martial arts. Another place to go to is the Koh Larn coral island 7km away from Pattaya. You can get there by a ferry which takes about 45 minutes one way. This very small island has 6 beautiful beaches and clear waters and plenty of restaurants and bars.

And for more unconventional attractions, Pattaya hosts many shows worth looking into. The Alcazar Cabaret Show on Pattaya 2 Road is a renowned transvestite show with wonderful performers, dance, singing and fabulous costumes. Another is the Tiffany's Show on 464 Moo 9, Pattaya Sai 2 Road, Nongprue, Banglamung which was voted number 4 in the top ten best shows to see around the world. And last but not least the Venue Cabaret on 413/24-28 Jomtien Complex, Thappraya Road. All of these shows are wonderful and if you choose to go to one or all, you'll be very satisfied.
