West Hollywood (WeHo) is known as the gay neighbourhood with over a third of the population identifying themselves as part of the LGBTQ community. The area is full of gay bars and gay-friendly venues. The Sunset Strip, known for its many colourful billboards, is a great place to visit as there are many boutiques, restaurants, rock clubs, nightclubs in a close proximity. West Hollywood also hosts some of California’s largest events, namely: LA Pride, Outfest, and West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnival.

Palm Springs 172 km (107 mi) east of Los Angeles has the highest concentration of same-sex couples in the US. The city also hosts annual events, such as the Greater Palm Springs Pride Celebration in November with Palm Springs Golf Classic, Stonewall Equality Concert and a Broadway in Drag Pageant. It relies heavily on tourism which makes it a great destination!
